Seriously, Oregon has done a lot of stupid stuff (it’s illegal to pump your own gas here) but one thing Oregon definitely did right is mail-in voting. Once you register, which is easy, they send you the materials in the mail, including a voter’s guide. All you have to do is spend some time to read and fill it out, sign it, put it into an envelope, and mail it.

If you wait too late to mail it (which I often do), they have drop boxes all over the place. All you have to do is drive by and you can drop it off just like dropping off mail at the post office. It couldn’t be easier. And we still have people who don’t vote. It’s sad. :(
