Hi all

My name is Paul and I'm a first-time poster here - a Brit living abroad in Geneva for the last 5 years. I'm in the process of hitting the festival trail with my first feature documentary and now it's time to turn my attentions to my first feature fiction script.

I've been umming and ahhing for the past few weeks about posting here but now I think it's the right thing to do. Without wanting to sound pretentious - I believe I have a really strong idea/plot/set of characters. A Brit-grit drama influenced by the look and feel of the likes of Boy A, London to Brighton etc etc.

My reasons for reaching out here are two-fold.

Firstly, I think I'm suffering from writers block. I've written the idea through as a prose/dialogue hybrid at length but putting that info into a script is just not happening for me. I'm not sure if it's down to it being my first script and the fact that it's all a bit daunting or if having an outsider take a look through the whole thing will make life easier.

Secondly, I recently became a father for the second time, and having two young children in the house (plus a full time job) makes finding the time to work alone on my project tough. I know I'm not the first - or even last - who will go through this but I feel now is the time to ask for help and to try to find someone interested in forging a co-writing team to eventually finish what promises to be a belter of a script.

Anyway, enough waffling for now. If you'd like to know more then get in touch and we'll try to work something out.

Thanks for reading/listening

Regards to all

Paul
