My God... Just, wow. This film floored me.

The plot is an interesting take on a tired theme. A young couple goes to a remote wooded lake for a romantic get away. However, the quiet weekend is shattered by an aggressive group of local kids.

Straight up, these kids are some of the scariest and most intense movie villains I've ever seen. Particularly the leader, Brett. The way he manipulates the other kids to take part in the violence is gut wrenching. I'd much rather fight Leatherface using nothing but a butter knife than be on these kids bad side.

As for the gore, there is enough here to satisfy any gore hound. But this movie isn't about gore. It's about character and suspense. I'm fully comfortable in saying that this is the most intense horror movie of the decade.

One more thing... The ending. It will twist your heart and kick your ass. Very powerful stuff.

Go buy it. Now!

It was not a bad effort really, Some good performances really for a cheap horror. I loved the debut of Thomas Turgoose in 'Made in England' and was keen to see how he got on in this. Very horrific, quite hard going sometimes but really just more of the same torture porn and I never thought there was a whole lot more this offers in that regard.

But the intentions seem to be good, there is a level of intelligence here that is missing from most mainstream torture porns. It even has a theme, beware of the Chav's. Anyone from England will get the whole Chav thing and basically that is what this film is about. I think it lifts itself above many of its peers, but to be honest it did not need an awful lot of effort.

I rented it from work, basically because there was nothing else interesting out. I was a bit sceptical because I thought it was just going to be another one of those torture 'porn' movies, but I was really surprised by how good the film was. Plus it also disturbed me slightly, which never happens when I watch horror (or thriller), but the bonfire (you'll know when you see it) scene disturbed the hell out of me.

The characters were really well acted, especially in some of the more intense scenes. Plus the ending...just...as was said in the first post, it just knocks you back. I'd recommend it.

It's disturbing co's stuff like this can happen, stuff like this does happen. I would hesitate to call it horror, it is the evil side of life.

Of course though in order for it to make a good film you still need a stupid woman doing stupid things, but I guess where all the suspense comes from. I was sitting there thinking "What dumb ass thing is she gonna do next?"

More to follow tomorrow, but I want to say that this is most likely the most horrific, gut wrenchingly intense ride I've been on that I can seriously remember.  Beautifully shot, directed,,acted, and written.  Just downright awesome!

What a fucking ride!!!!!
