Done reading them all.  That was quick and relatively painless.  Well done guys - looking forward to seeing who wrote what... Can I start guessing yet?

I've read all of them through, and I enjoyed all of them in some sense.  I guess it wouldn't hurt to start making guesses since this challenge is a lot more under the radar than others, and there probably won't be an official thread on it given the low number of entries, so here should suffice.

I'd wait for others to chime in before submitting the guesses yet though.

I can't argue with that logic...It just fits the the pattern.  Well, at least for one of the writers.  If memory serves, this is the second "half" script we've seen from them.  Tsk...tsk...lay off story development in your comments please.

I know who wrote the Pig People one-- like that's hard.  ;) A Different Menu? I'm not sure.

The best one of all I think is Food Chain and I think it's written by Higgonaitor and company.

I thought The Long Road Home had some good writing, but alas, I think it was heading in the direction or ours and had more of a featuresque kind of atmosphere.

P.S. Everything Jeff said on this one is absolutely true. We decided it was what it was for the challenge and took the liberties of an extra two pages. I don't see it as a short, and it kinda contorts like those contortionists into the challenge; indeed, it's not weighting on "the food supply". The whole procreation thing took over, but I loved my partner's writing on this. There were some wonderful moments and I wouldn't trade it for the world.

I enjoyed this challenge very much. It was a lot of fun working with You-Know-Who. No!! Not Voldermort. The nice guy. The guy who likes to think a lot. Yes. Him. The sweet one.

With luck, we'll take the feedback and write the other half, or two thirds... and make it a good one.

Congratulations again to the writers of Food Chain. Way to go!

Sandra

So I have read all the scripts and on the whole am very impressed. Not sure I can guess all of them yet but will wait a while to see if there are anymore reads, though at least two are quite obvious.

I did notice that Shelton has commented on them all, very sneaky Mr Shelton. Not a bad idea so I have shamelessly copied him and done the same, to try and throw everyone off the scent so to speak.

Sandra outed us, so I didn't write a fake review of our script. I rather enjoyed this, and while it would take a hell of a budget, I think we do intend to further explore our idea by filling it out to decent proportions. 15 pages? We figured out of what's there, we could easily get 30-45 pages out of that part alone just by properly expanding every point in there.

As George has stated, a lot to be explored here. We had worked for the first week just doing brainstorming back and forth. We did a lot of PM's back and forth.

In the future, I think we'll have to work right in Final Draft or Word with the revision marks because with all the edits and revisions that go on, it would certainly be nice to have a record of all the changes just to see how far we've come.

Everyone's comments I think hit the nail on the head with this one- we knew it wasn't finished and we just weren't going to try and pretend it was something that it wasn't by reshaping it anymore at that point. I really liked George's comment to me: It is what it is. For me, it was really very liberating to hear that and it's just one of the reasons I've enjoyed working with George.

Interesting to note: We're both Geminis.  :)

Anyways, I think that Mike was pulling a sneaky and he's one of the writers of Food Chain.

I thought Jeff co-wrote The Long Road Home, but apparently I'm wrong there.

I saw the sparks of brilliance in this challenge and want to compliment everyone for the effort.

It couldn't have happened without you; so thank you everyone.

This challenge had a lot going for it I thought. The two weeks might seem at first to make it easier, but in other ways it raises the bar.

Congratulations again to the writers of "Food Chain". I thought the writers did solid work with this and any downfalls could easily be fixed.

Food Chain was my first pick immediately. You did a really good job.

Thanks Sandra. Given the time difference me and Gary were working with I'm pleased with what we came up with.
