The Prettiest Girl in the Room by Nicole Staeheli - Drama - This is a teenage drama whose main character, Amanda, is very beautiful.  She is just entering High School as a freshman.  Amanda is shy and enters the world of teenage angst when two of her rivals start to like a couple of guys who both have the hots for Amanda.  Amanda plays down her beauty so as to not attract male attention and to hold onto the friends she has.  Amanda learns about true friendships, safe people versus unsafe people and about how to embrace her beauty proudly through the process outlined in the movie.  Amanda has a younger sister who despises her because she is not as pretty.  Her little sister, Cara, is somewhat of a tomboy and an athlete.  She is in the grade below Amanda.  Amanda also has a little brother (Ed).  Cara picks on Ed.  Since Ed fears his sister, he does whatever Cara tells him to do.  Their mom is a single mom who works 2 jobs.  Their father is in jail.  78 pages - doc, format 8)
