Neill Blomkamp, the bloke that Peter Jackson wanted to Direct the Halo movie, has been thrown another bone with this one. The trailer looks awesome. I'm keen, though it does vaguely remind of Cloverfield.

The trailer does look very, VERY good. I love trailers that suddenly twist halfway through - the trailer for Wes Craven's RedEye started out looking like it was going to be about a romantic comedy and then suddenly turned into a thriller, and this did the same thing even better. I was waiting for 'THEY ARE NOT...HUMAN', but they still did it very well.

Also, setting it in South Africa (which I'm assuming is the setting based on accents) is a good idea - raises the spectre of the apartheid, issues of segregation etc.

Looking forward to it!

Neil Blomkamp is a talent to watch. A very unique vision and an expert in grounding the fantastic firmly in reality.

If you want a taste of what this movie will be like you don't have to look no further then the short film it is based on.

That was brilliant, yeah can't wait for this one. It's a pity he never made Halo.

I think this looks amazing. Really looking forward to it.

Is Blokamp still attached to direct Halo?

Looks like a good one. I've been waiting for another great alien movie to come along.

The short is brillaint, can't wait for the movie it looks like it could be a good one.  I thought at first that it was some follow up to District 13, the french film from a few years back.  I've never heard of this before now but it does look like it could worth a watch.
