I'm a sucker for behind-the-scenes documentaries and they're probably one of the biggest factors when deciding which movie I should buy on DVD or BlueRay. Unfortunately, most of them are very superficial and more often than not they're just one long let's-suck-each-others-dicks-fests, like "ooh, she so nice to work with" or "I'm definitely working with him again". Barf.

I like the ones that go in-depth, like "Dangerous Days" (Blade Runner) which runs approx. 3½ hrs. or "Under Pressure" (The Abyss) where the cast tells it like it is - and it's not all peachy. The documentaries from the Alien Quadrilogy boxset are also very good (though Fox gutted the Alien3 documentary), as is The Godfather documentary.

Does anyone out there know any great behind-the-scenes documentary?

Cheers
Rob

Any behind-the-scenes about Hitchcock or Spielberg movies. They're made by a French guy who's really good at it.

Not all of them. I saw the behind the scenes from Crystal Skull last night and I almost fell asleep. The documentary from the original Indiana Jones boxset is pretty good though.

I do think the quality of the behind-the-scene is reflected on the movie. When the film is bad, what can we do?
