The Hollywood Creative Directory and the dreaded query letter.

Write a good script -- Send it out -- Wait --

If your script was actually good and worth making there is no reason why your script won't sell or you won't be represented. It might take some time. Maybe even more than you're willing to put in, but if it's what you want then there isn't a problem.

Quoted from Baltis.
Write a good script -- Send it out -- Wait --

My production partner has a friend who wrote a sci-fi script based on a TV show (I think the old Star Trek, can't remember) he sent the script cold to the production company. A year later he got a letter (before e-mails) that they were very interested in his work and asked him if he would be interested in writing for them. Well, eventually he ended up being the writer/producer of one of those ST spin offs/look alike shows... You never know what can happen.

Anyone who tells you to pay them to help you is full of it.  I know this may sound really obvious, but plenty of people get scammed this way.

Just work on writing a really great query letter.

I don't know if robotland is east or west of the Mississippi, but here's a page at WGA East that might help:  http://www.wgaeast.org/index.php?id=144
