Richard Kelly's "The Box" has a trailer now:

Don't really know what to feel about this one.  I was excited for a simple concept from Kelly for once, but then I read an interview, and it made me less excited for the film as he explained it.

This film will probably determine a.) how many more films Kelly makes in Hollywood and b.) how much money they'll give him next time.  I think a lot of people are looking at this as his chance to prove himself after "Southland Tales" tanked financially and critically.

I was mildly-interested in this movie, but Cameron Diaz is a huge turn off for me.

I love Donnie Darko and thought Southland Tales was pretty mediocre. This is his chance to finally establish himself as a director. One good movie will not support you forever.

The only one in the cast who really sticks out for me is Frank Langella.

Donnie Darko was pretty cool, and I liked Southland Tales a lot just on an experimental level. Whether you like his movies or not, there's no denying that Kelly is doing things no one else in Hollywood is doing (which is surprising considering how hot he is).

This one looks pretty cool, I'm interested to see how far he takes the plot beyond the box. I'm also interested to see the gross part of Langella's face.

You don't see many good trailers and that makes the film look good.

Cameron Diaz and Cyclops...

I actually find Darko boring. If not for the Kevin Smith commentary I would not own the movie.

Exciting trailer though I will give it that much. It probably wont do well at the box office but as long as they make some money off of it he will continue to work.

Looks kinda interesting. I hated Darko, but I may give this a chance. Didn't like how they used the Saw music in the trailer. Cheap.

I'm pretty sure this will do about 3 or 4 at the box office.  I'm betting, like Darko, it'll be DVD where this cleans up (if it's good, that is).
