I just stumbled across this trailer for an upcoming movie called Whiteout - no, it's not affiliated with Dreamscale's Fade to White ;). Anyway, the trailer looks pretty good - they usually do (althought I thought I was watching the trailer for the The Thing Prequel to begin with).
It's based on a comic - has anybody read it? Does anybody have the script?

There are two hours of film to be edited into a two-minute trailer...and they spend almost 10 seconds of it with Kate Beckinsale in the shower haha.
Shows you where their head is at with this one, I suppose. If there was a great story here, they probably would have revealed more of that as opposed to revealing their female lead.

If the movie's got a shower scene with Kate Beckinsale, then it doesn't need a story. ;)
Funny how the trailer says that there no shadows in Antartica (or is it on Antarctica). How does that work exactly?

Ha, funny...my Fade to White was originally called Whiteout. I did a search and found that this was being made from a graphic novel (this was 2 years ago a or so). So, I changed my title...happy that I did actually now.
I think it sounds pretty frickin' cool, and I gotta admit I'm a sucker for kate.

I think it is loosely based on the comic as I read a rant by a fan about how they changed some things.
The trailer doesn't give me the impression she's after a killer either.

Working at a trailer company has taught me a thing or two, and one of them is that studios have a laundry list of things that
absolutely have to be in the trailer. I'm sure the shower scene was at the top of their list on this one. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if they saw a cut of it from the company and said "Ehhh.....extend the shower scene a bit more."
