The Novelist by Hugh Kelly (jasper man) - Comedy, Dark - Carl Spielberg is a writer living in New York City. He is at New York University discussing his latest novel. The script dives into the life of the novel's main protaganist: Ron Shelton. Ron has been three times and is on his fourth wife when he suddenly wants a more bohemian change in his life. 92 pages - doc, format 8)

Hugh,

I can't give you any feedback on the script, haven't read it. But I would suggest a new logline as it doesn't sell the story very well. Is the story about Carl or about Ron? It is listed as a comedy but I don't see anything in the logline to indicate that it would be funny. I am also guessing you meant to say Ron has been 'married' three times? Overall it just doesn't grab me at all and make me want to read it, which is the what you should be trying to accomplish.

Cheers,
Tim.

I understand where you are coming from, Tim. But it's more of a dark comedy and I wanted the logline to represent more of that genre.
