Not V For Vendetta, just plain V, the sci-fi turned comedy from the early 1980's is returning this fall. For those of you too young to remember, this series was about a race of aliens who came to Earth is supposedly peaceful intentions, only to be discovered that they're out for conquest.

The original series starred Robert Englund and came out about the same time at the original Nightmare on Elm Street movie.

Hopefully, they won't screw this one up by turning it into a campy comedy.

Obviously I'd be far too young to remember V. But I did watch a bit of one on a mobile last week. Oh how we sneered at those weird creatures communicating with those strange things from the back of the necks.
Then I rang up a friend on the strange magic device without wires.

And yes I do have one. A friend. Well, more of an acquaintance really. Oh alright, it's this bloke I annoy in the pub. Gits.

I used to love this show! The mini series was great, the music used to creep me out and the "birth" scared the hell out of me for ages. I recently watched the episodes again and its still pretty decent but the birth scene was pretty laughable, but hey.

I remember they did a follow on series but it wasnt as succesful and rumours of a new series had been going on for a while.

I remember this show.

(to Paul Anka's Havin' My Baby)

Havin' my reptile
What a lovely way of sayin'
How much you love me
Havin' my reptile
What a lovely way of sayin'
What you're thinkin' of me
I can see it, face is glowin'
I can see in your eyes
I'm happy you know it
