What a surprising little film. I walked out of the theater with a big fat smile on my face, something I haven't done in a while. If I had to describe the film in one word, it'd be "Bizarre". I mean that in a good way.

The plot revolves around nine little "sack-beings" who seem to be all that is left after a huge war wiped out humanity. Don't wanna spoil anything, but it's safe to assume that they are not alone and that the war is not over. Oh yeah, this is not a kids movie. The plot is very dark.

The animation is some of the best I've seen. It draws you in and won't let go. The art style is fantastic as well.

If only the film were a bit longer. It's only 79 minutes long and the pacing really suffers because of it. The movie is constantly moving. Good thing there's a small cast.

Just got back from the theatre. i usually wait a few days before compiling a review, but what the hell.

real quick, the "sack-beings" are known as "stitchpunks" - which i believe is a clever little title

overall, i really enjoyed this film. the character designs are incredible and easily the strongest point of the film. the combination of human bones with machine parts is genius. the film is short- too short in all honesty simply because i wanted it to be longer. but as it is, theres no fat on the story - a lot of action, but never too much.

unfortunately there were aspects of the story which were not fully explored nor explained. #1's motives are never really explained and the backstory could have been extended.

however when i found out what the stitchpunks really were, i was blown away. its such a cool idea.

overall, my recommendation is to go see the film if you want something different, off beat, and unique. plus its nice to see computer animation with a darker edge to it.

sorry forgot one more thing. yes the cats in there as well as a few other creatures. in fact, the snake is by far the coolest machine/creature in the film. very dark and twisted

I work at a movie theatre and I've heard maybe one or two good things about this film. People rave about the animation, but as a movie, everyone says it sucks.
