Hey guys,

Just wanted to share this with yous. So I'm student teaching and one of the classes is an elective called "history through the media." Basically we show movies and discuss their historical context, accuracy, etc. We started of with "Gladiator."

Anyway, the project after the movie was take a piece of Roman history, Caeser, Nero, Marc Anthony, whatever, and write a page of so synopsis on a movie you would make of their life, where it be from birth to death or a single event. The second half of the project is write a two page scene from that move.

After a little lobbying, i was able to get Celtx approved and loaded on the classes laptops and while some of the format is off, they're telling instead of showing, and all the dialogue is on the nose like a librarian's glasses, i was able to get two classes of kids screenwriting. And while some were mostly joking around, some became really into it.

Felt good. Wanted to share.

Amongst the general grind of threads, this was uplifting.

Nice work, Souter.
