Rob Zombie's new one. A cartoon done in the old school Ren & Stimpy style. If only it was anywhere near Ren & Stimpy's greatness (sorry, I loved that show, you guys can take your personal childhood nostalgia elsewhere). Basically, some big, ugly sex-obsessed ex-wrestler/celebrity/narcissist (Tom Papa) goes to rescue a stripper (Rosario Dawson) from the evil Dr. Satan (Paul Giamatti... in a Rob Zombie movie... really) bent on world domination. Some great animation, fun cameos from famous movie monsters, maybe five or six good jokes and a British gorilla who's occasionally humorous. The rest is pretty much played out cliche Drawn Together-esque dirty humor. Tom Papa seems to be the dominant writing force here even though it's based on Zombie's own comic. The only Zombie-ness here is really the iconography and the fact that there's giant cartoon boobs in practically every scene. These ones even inflate 10 times their size and make balloon animals out of themselves. The occasional stupid movie doesn't bother me and honestly, I'd welcome a stupid dirty cartoon. But there's a certain pretentiousness here that just makes this one no fun. It's like Rob Zombie thought he was the first one to make cartoons naughty. Also, for a Zombie movie, the violence is pretty uninspired. Superjail and Metalocalypse (Adult Swim) come in 15 minute episodes and have more creative kills than this one. Unless you're a Zombie fan, I'd suggest catching some South Park/Adult Swim reruns instead.
