Wow, these guys are awesome, doing the medley from side 2 of Abbey Road.

Very nice, Stevie. That closing medley is one of the many highlights on the album. "I want You (She's so Heavy)" being a personal favourite.

Man, when I guy mentions "side 2" of an album he's really showing his age. I'm only aware of the classic 17 track-er on the beautifully uncomplicated, one-side-only compact disc!

Good point Col!  Its funny - i have all the Beatles cds but still think of a certain song as the 'third song on side 2 of Revolver'!!

I listened to this with headphones on and closed my eyes. I reckon you could play Abbey Road alongside and it would in the same time as well.  Simply brilliant...

Coincidentally, now that I think of it, a friend of mine had a record player belong to his father years ago and one of the records we used to listen was in fact Abbey Road, no jokes, its only coming back to me now since you mentioned it. It's literally one of maybe 5 records I've ever listened to.

I actually bought Marvin Gaye's "What's Goin' On" on vinyl about a year and a half ago to encourage me to get a record player as its something I've always wanted, for aesthetic purposes more than actual usage. I have it propped up on my window sill as a constant reminder ever since...Unfortunately, 18 months later I still haven't bought the bloody thing.

Get it outta' the window sill or it is going to warp and you won't be able to play it on anything.

The "album side" is something of a lost art, if you ask me -- not even considered now in the age of the CD -- or whatever comes next.

Many bands used to put one specific side together "just so", and it made for great listening.

The Abbey Road medley is one -- Rush has another with "2112".

Sh?t, I never even thought of that. Its still in its original sleeve though, unopened, with the plastic covering untouched, would that protect it? (Again, I'm really showing my age here thru my ignorance. I can just imagine any "elder" reading this, their tongues-a-cluckin', brows-a-furrowin’ and beards-a-strokin’)
