What kind of screenplay openings annoy you, if any? What kind excite you?

I'm really irked by the hand-slamming-down-on-the-alarm-clock, protagonist waking up openings, they are really cliched and done to death.

I'm pretty tired of the run and stumble random death most modern horror movies use.

Any movie that starts by explaining the situation leading up to the movie always sucks for me... like Star Wars or Cave Dwellers.

That one too...  Anything with scrolling text upwards, downwards or side to side... All sucks.  I also hate anything that starts out with "The rebel alliance".  I hate rebel alliances in movies.

I hate when they spend too long talking about pizza deliveries or pool cleaning. Just get to the good parts already.

Uh, we're talking about porn films, right?

Any film that starts off with a scene that belongs at the end, starting off with the death of a main character. Done to death. Boring.

You must be watching the '70s and '80s (gay) porn.

One function of openings is to demonstrate the emergence of a new state, so weddings (Godfather), funerals (Gran Torino), wake up calls etc are there for a reason.

I'm not a big fan of voice-overs in the opening.
