Great job Michael! I loved it. Thank you again for making it.
Ha! I love reading the comments on youtube. Is machinima supposed to be gaming? They're pissed when they have to watch a video, apparently.
One guy did bring up a point, Why would he let her go after she's seen his face? I'm guessing limitations couldn't let you mask him?
Anyways, It's up on my facebook page. You've got 2,500 hits last i was there. Great job.

I didn't mask him because I wanted you to like him. Think of him as a guy that had a nice idea but just went about it in the wrong way. I don't think he would have been likeable with a mask.
This was important because you weren't supposed to like Jeanine. And I don't think it would have worked if you disliked both of the characters.
And I wouldn't worry too much about the You Tube comments. The more they dislike something the more views it seems to get. It's gotten plenty of Likes anyway and it's harder to get Likes than Dislikes. They are really complaining because it's not about fighting and war and gaming - more than there being anything wrong with the video.

While I think the first one was better than this one, I did enjoy this. The graphics are really good; you should be very proud of that, Cornetto. The story, however, seemed to drag; it just didn't work for me. I wasn't fond of the title character's motives. Not even sure why he was called the Environmentalist, really. At one point, I thought it was of Screenrider's scripts.

You did a great job, but I'm disappointed this one has 1000 more views in one day than issues has in almost a month. :'( |
Yep. That hater controversy stuff never happened with Issues. And that goes to show you that a little bit of controversy is good for viewer ship.

Was it because I commented on questions?
I thought you did a fantastic job! |
I don't think it was because of your comments. I think they could tell Issues was different because it looked very different and so they didn't feel comfortable making comments on it. Whereas The Environmentalist is relatable to them so they feel comfortable about bashing it.
And thanks.

There are several ways to see what is going on.
If you want more Moviestorm like stuff then you can go to Moviestorm
http://www.moviestorm.co.uk and have a look around. Or you can go to their FB page
http://www.facebook.com/Moviestorm and get an abbreviated list. You won't see The Dark on this list though atm because I had an argument with the guy who makes that list about Issues. I'm thinking about changing Machinima engines over it too.
The other place you can have a look around at is TMUnderground,
http://www.tmunderground.com/video.phpThey get a lot of Machinima, like the kind I produce, but done with The Movies rather than Moviestorm. They can't show that Machinima elsewhere because they can't run ads with it.
I got the idea for producing podcasts from TMUnderground because they produce podcasts...lots of them. I'll be on one of their shows again this coming Monday if you want to listen. On the Roger and Ken show at 8am (not completely confirmed yet)
http://www.tmoaradio.com/news.php . I wonder how they will try to embarrass me.
And here's a list of a few Machinima that I've collected.

Loved it. Really well produced and directed and I loved the story as well.
Particularly liked the Enviromentlaist himself and would like to see more from that character.

Well done!
This is more in the along for the ride vein than Issues, but its entertaining.
I think it was a bit saggy in the middle, but overall I felt the production improved.
This feels more like a crowd pleaser than Issues, and it works.
I think the ending would have been better if the shotgun blast came from outside.
Blew the window open, she falls and we see The Environmentalist standing there.
My only staging problem was the excessive amount of white in the cabin.
Made it a bit hard to distinguish backgrounds sometime.
Thanks for posting and keep up the great work!
Regards,
E.D.

Quoted from dogglebe At one point, I thought it was of Screenrider's scripts. |
Ouch, then he would have wanted her to become a missionary and feed starving children with all her dough...

Very impressive, Mr. Cornetto! Very good show! Congrats to James, as well for the script, which works much better here than I ever thought possible.
Cool stuff, guys!! Keep up the great work.

Hey all, thanks for the comments and happy you all enjoyed it.
ED. I've always associated white furniture and walls with wealth. Who else can keep things that white? And that's why everything is so white. That and I wanted to give it a "look" so I turned on the white diffusion filter. :-)
