It's out on January 7th?! But that's less than a month away...

...hmm?...

...oh, right - it's just the ridiculous dating system you lot use.

On a less flippant note, that's quite an effective teaser. The actual film will be overlong, emotionally empty and generally messy, though. Probably.

Tell me about it!

Stupid Yank wanks that we are.
We're about as progressive as lichen.

I want to jam a wooden imperial ruler into the eye sockets of the insane conspiracy theorists that prevent the "civilized" world from just embracing the metric system, Dvorak Simplified Keyboard and a 13-month calendar.

I hate people.
I want to like them, but they just keep letting be down with their perpetual dysfunction. Yick.

Cool teaser. JohnnyBoy is more than likely dead on about his analysis of the film but it'll be a goofy, fun way to pass a couple of hours.

As long as it sticks to its own mythology unlike ROTF where they state only a prime can kill a prime... then Megatron kills Optimus Prime.

That's almost as bad as if Frodo used a cellphone for directions to mount doom.

Why spend the time establishing a mythology if you cannot follow it.

It seems to me that whoever approves some of these things could care less about continuity and care more about "cool" scenes that an audience might remember instead of the film as a whole.

I think it was somewhat stated in the first film that Megatron was once Prime's brother....kinda...bleh, you're right overall, anyway -- the second film was a convulted mess. I was even bored during the action scenes because the plot was completely worthless and there were more frikkin robots than I could keep track of.

The first film was a "fast-food movie" -- the cinematic equivalent of Mc Donalds: you can enjoy the taste, but you know it's sh!t.  I hope the third can deliver at least that -- the second film was more like eating a rotten piece of steak.
