Wrote this for a feature spec I wrote.  Kind of came to me one day as I was re-writing a scene. It is intended to be more of a song, but I think it works either way. :)

Postcards the landscape creates
Paint the portrait of picture perfect
Photographs of memories past
Contemplating time to reflect

I lay on the grass under the big oak tree
Not sure what to believe, ooh feel the breeze
Relax, and don’t forget to breathe
This feeling inside refuses to leave

Wild Horses running through the fields
My heart aches for the love you wished to yield
My heartbreak will in time be healed
Your actions reveal what you heart concealed

Postcards the landscape creates
Paint the portrait of picture perfect
Photographs of memories that last
They say we grow up way too fast
