My son's original plan was to teach English in Japan. He currently works in our military here in Canada. My daughter has been very close to visiting in Japan several times...
We all live in the same place: Planet Earth. I sometimes get sick to death of well-wishers. We need to get the hell off of our asses, get rid of our shit... and freakin' do some real good rather than (swear word) post freakin' prayers. G-d helps those who help themselves... and those that can't, the rest need to step up.
Posted this in another thread, but I'll post again here because the humor is contagious and maybe it helps. Won't hold my freakin' breath... but maybe...

We are all handcuffed together. Not a one of us can exist without the other. I sincerely believe that a true prayer isn't someone kneeling down and crying for help, but someone who has exhausted all of his potential and still feels a vacancy-- even in the light of success, if he might be so fortunate or not, as the case may be. As one friend of mine I know had complete success-- the whole package, the house, the pool, the everything-- but one day he woke up and he was in this total darkness of the spirit.
Recently, I listened to an old Simply Radio broadcast and I feel very privileged to meet and meet again some of these brilliant and passionate individuals.
If you think prayer is just getting on your knees, then I think you are mistaken.
Respectfully, Sandra

Lol! Meet up at the mailbox - priceless! In the meantime, the zombies are eating your cat!
One of these needs to be done, with Al Gore and his climate zombies. I might think on it over the weekend and get it down.
Need to write some comedy - all this Custer gore is getting stifling...

A movie I'm the main character in just got put online. It's about a therapist (me) who tries to get grant money for doing research on people who believe they are super heroes. It's a really goofy movie, and its filmed sort of office style, because it's supposed to look like my character hired a film crew to document his interactions with the "capes," or people who think they're super.
Anyway, I really enjoyed being in it, and am really proud of it. It was mostly improvised, but I do have a script if anyone would like to see it.
Anyway, click the following link and then the film I'm in is called "capes" and it's in the middle at the top of the page.
Also, this is the cut that was rushed in for the festival, so if you'd rather wait for a slightly more fine-tuned cut, I'll post that one when it goes online.

Not anything all that new but amusing just the same...
First time I've seen this. Loved it! We don't get these eccentrics at our Walmarts here in Olds, Red Deer, Airdrie and Calgary, but I can believe it.
I have seen a few people out in Costco wearing "pajama pants" and I wonder:
If they can't bother to dress themselves, I am afraid to enter upon their living space. But even having said that, I think it's just a strong public show of how our respect in ourselves and others has declined.
What ever happened to "getting dressed for dinner"? Now don't even drive-in, but drive-thru? That sort of thing has to have its effect. Eventually, man devolves to a senseless pig, consuming food and goods, mindlessly. He winds up nothing more than a glorified animal-- not The Creator's intent. Ah, but this bit of shamefulness has a reason too. How anyways, does one learn to have some morals and sophistication without first knowing pigness and depravity?
Let's hope man learns quickly and easily, not the hard way.

I was looking for this thread the other day but couldn't find it, glad it appeared again.
Now, the video I would like to post is a music video by a band called 'Biting Elbows', a Russian indie/rock/punk band that I have to admit I wasn't cool enough to of heard of. It's had a lot of hype on my facebook news feed recently and I really like it.
The song title is 'Bad Motherf#@ker' and the video is a bit on the violent side (with swearing), so if that crosses any lines Mods feel free to delete this post.
Also I have no idea how to make the video appear on this page so it's just the link.

All kidding aside, though. I've worked with the homeless on a mostly regular basis, (not so much the past couple years because of work). It's best to give in either food (preferable pre-sealed) or clothes. As much as I'd like to believe in humanity, all the change they get does go to booze, or worse.
As for the trick, I'd love to show this one to the kids. But they'd be mad at me for busting their piggy banks because that's the only money I can get my hands on right now.
