I let a USC student post this on youtube after months of telling her she couldn't because I thought a filmaker wanted to use this script for competition. I haven't heard from him in months. i know he's working on other projects.

Regardless, This was supposed to take place in an elegant restaurant. Budget turned it into a picnic, but they improvised well on the script. I think the acting is top notch.

Hey James,

Despite the setting limitations, I like the actor chemistry here.
It's nice to hear your script without the restaurant din.
When the guy swatted the fly as he ranted, that was priceless!
Congrats!

Congrats James.

They did a good job, and the acting was leagues above what a normal student film would have.  I don't think it was hurt too much by not being set in a fancy restaurant, but the conversation about paying did come off as kind of awkward.  It's really hard to nail down a location like that (I know from experience).

Thanks for watching everyone...

huge thanks to Don for slapping this on the home page! It went from 16 views to over 300 ina day and a half. i know thats not because its on my facebook page.

I've noticed this looks weird on the close up during the end. I don't have any idea what camera Alison used or why it looks that way.

The fight over the check in the middle of the argument works way better in a restaraunt, again, budget limitations. I think they did the best they could with it.

I think I liked this one better than the last version.  (Call me shallow, but the girl in the original video just didn't seem, well, appealing.  And that's coming from me.  Another female.)

In this one, looks like the attractiveness imbalance flip-flopped.  The male lead in the picnic version creeps me out - more than just a little bit.  And she's way out of his league.  Frankly, he should be *thanking* her for agreeing to be linked to him on Facebook....

And yes, the lines about paying for the picnic were a little weird.  But they worked around it relatively well, not much harm done.

That aside, fun production!  Congrats on getting this shot...multiple times..!

Hey James,

I haven't seen the other version, but I thought this was great.

I also haven't read the script, is there much difference in what you wrote (besides the picnic chnages) and what is in the film?

What the heck's facebook?  Is it a novel or something?

Congrats, James, on gettin' this one filmed.

I'm surprised at you two.  I expected a little more class and taste from two well-respected women on the boards here.  I figured if anybody wouldn't judge a book by its face it would be you, Pia, and you, Janet.  I really don't know what to think about this.

Oh, and BTW, James, you really should've wrote a titty scene for the girl in this version.  (It was still kind of hot when she dropped the T-bomb, though.)

Not too much. They just have a little tug and pull fight over the check when they argue who's going to pay for it. Other then that, it pretty much follows the script.

Thanks for watching you guys, already over 500 views!
