that, ya know, aren't a total rip off?  $60 submission?  $20 for one page?  all for what?  So I can write "award you've never heard of winning screenplay" in my pitch?  Any comps that are actually worth putting a few bucks into?  or God forbid... free?

FWIW:

Usually, when you have to pay sixty dollars for a competition, you're paying the late entrant fee.  Entering earlier means paying less.

I've heard that Moviebytes gives a good list of what competitions are worth entering.  Past entrants review the competitions and they're graded by (among other things) how relevant the competitions are.

In my dreams, this is true.

When chicks actually enter it, it's a good dream.  When it's me just standing there on an empty stage with a few pitchers of water lined up, it's a recurring nightmare, I have all too often that seems to mirror my life.   ;D ;D ;D

Stevie...you're cruising, bro...
