That was funny.  Han Solo as a green, scaly freak.  And the homo-erotic Alien scenes were hilarious.  I guess its encouraging that some of these great movies had such unbelievably humble beginnings.

Cracked is so busy telling jokes they forget a few things. They mock the names Lucas gives some of the characters. "Aren't you glad you don't have someone named Beru cooking for you?" is a big gaffe. True, by the end of the first act, Uncle Owen and Aunt Beru get burned out of the house by the Stormtroopers...and "Vallorium" was seen in Ep1 Phantom Menace (played by Terence Stamp)

Cameron's Spider-Man is a first draft treatment at best, the organic web shooters carried over into Raimi's films.

And they fail to mention why the late Tom Mankiewicz was brought on to write a few early drafts of Batman. They mention his Bond connection, but why not the more obvious Superman one which had the blend of action and light camp? That's why he was brought in. The studios didn't take comic book to film too seriously. I'm not saying that script is good or bad, I just want to point out they (Cracked) should play fair.



Like Alien.
Giving little quips as examples, everything is taken out of context. In fact, Alien gets the worst of it. I've read several articles on Alien, and one in particular when Scr(i)pt interviewed Ron Shushett several years ago. The original draft (according to Shushett) had the characters being so advanced that they were asexual, a new step in human evolution or something to that effect.

I wasn't laughing at this article. I was saying 'so what'- first drafts and treatments. Nothing more, nothing less. It's nice to see a script evolution, don't get me wrong, -and Lucas' Star Wars especially- but I took this write up with a grain of salt.

Sniper, I already noted that I can't take Cracked too seriously, especicially when they err. I don't find it humorous and find the "jokes" unfunny that's my take. Keep in mind that someone else may say "Yeah, those early scripts really stunk" while another may find nothing wrong with them.
