Ok. So, all you have to do is post your favourite movie trailer.

You can post more than one if you want.

I would just like to see what people think and what attracts an audience to a movie.

For me it has to be

Btw, if somebody doesn't know how to post a link directly here.

1. Go to youtube and go to the video.
2. Click Share directly under the video.
3. Click "Embed"
4. Copy the code and post on a comment =D

Cheers

Biutiful is a great film, too.

Not sure on the best trailer, but the one that's getting me excited right now is straight out of the Social Network trailer playbook:

This is actually a fanfic trailer of a movie that was never made.  It's extremely well made and believable... so well made and believable that someone else used pieces of it for his own fanfic trailer.

Great thread, nawazm11.

I'm going back a few years to Dr. Strangelove.

Wonderfully simplistic, intriguing and funny with timely excerpts from the classic film.

Compare this to a lot of trailers nowadays which insist on telling you three quarters of the story in a three and half minute, 20,000 shot, clip. Really grinds my gears and seems counter intuitive.

End rant.

I'm curious how you'd define great, in this case. There's a couple forms it could take. There's the "very well made" trailer. There's the "Now, I have to go see that" trailer. There's the "award-winning" trailer. Then, there's the one that has all three.

Some of the best; in my opinion, one from each category:

Sin City (very well made):

Red Eye (Now, I have to go see that):

Pulp Fiction (award-winning):

Grindhouse (personal favorite):

Not a movie trailer, but works as a short on its own. Best trailer Ive seen for a long time.
