Must admit...none of them grab me at all going from the log lines.

Imitation game sounds alright.

A many splintered thing sounds promising.

A lot of the others sound a bit "Zoetropy" to me.

Obviously can't pre-judge the scripts, or indeed any films that would be made from them, but there's very few that entice me into wanting to see them made.

The Imitation Game sounds good to me. But, yeah, a lot of them sound really lame.

I think I read on Scriptshadow that the authors do not necessarily write the loglines, and some may be attributed to busy managers and whatnot.

Many of the lackluster loglines may be doing the script a disservice.

And 2 for Pinocchio?  WTF?

Oh, and does anybody have super-secret access to any of these?

I am not really in those kind of loops, but I would love to see a couple.

Any of them, really.

A PM would be appreciated.

I'd read the Star Wars one.

This one had what I think is an unintentionally amusing log line.

Sorry, Bert, I haven’t read any of them and have no idea where to get them.

I noticed there’s one called Self/Less. And the logline sounds very similar to one of the OWC Halloween scripts this year. Uncanny.

No sale, Bert, I wish I had some of them.
I've been accepted to The Black List website.
But sadly, that doesn't give you access to any of the scripts in question.
Just the ability to rate these spec scripts floating around town.
A bit frustrating, actually.
Actually, most of them are in development with a production company.
I used to like the list more when it wasn't about studio projects in pre-production.

Took a glance at the list, I've read 4 or 5 of them. My memories are of flawed stories but really fantastic writing. I don't remember if I have any of them still, if I have time I'll look later.

Three zombie scripts made the list?  Maybe a four?  Seriously?

And one script, 'The Pretty One,' had the same story as two recent television series.

Well what the heck is the point in joining then, and even more importantly...they took YOU??

I applied myself on a lark and never heard a peep out of those smug bastards.

And on the application, for "Assistant To:"  I even listed "Don Boose".

Guess we now know how much clout that carries....

Yeah, if I was a bit more of a spec script hound, I could track these down.
The site would be more useful for me, for sure.
Though it is a bit interesting to track the data and trends of readers on the list.

LOL, yes they took ME!! ;D I so John McClane'd that shite!
I'm the fly they forgot to take out of the ointment! Actually...

I recently accepted an offer by a feature producer to join his development team.
We're small, but repped by CAA with some first look studio deals around town.
I suspect the Black List took me only because of that job connection.  ;)

Regards,
E.D.

Sent you some, Bert. I have some others somewhere, but I forget where I put them.

I'd love to get Babz' opinion of this list.

Babz?

Thank you, Kev.  Sent you a little return fire.

Chewie sounds like good fun. Anyone got the script? PM if so, please. Imitation Game sounds familiar. Perhaps there was a documentary or an article I read about this story recently. Father Daughter could be an interesting road trip movie. Bastards sounds familiar too - I need to start bookmarking things or do a better job of mentally referencing what I'm reading.
