Just heard he died in Florida, aged 66.

Sure, The Monkees were created as a US Beatles, but they made some cool pop music.
And they hung out a bit with the Beatles too, in the studios during The White Album.

I second you Stevie, especially because he was still too young. Sudden heart attack I guess. R.I.P. Played "I'm a Believer'' at many parties when I DJ'd. Unfortunately it was the Smash Mouth version from Shreck all the time. Fucken kids have no taste.

I enjoyed watching the Monkees and their music was great... it still is... I feel worse for him, than Whitney drughead

It all seems so long ago, it's hard to believe he was only 66.  It's a sad day, indeed.
