Watched this last night and while I wasn’t expecting too much, have to say I was still left a bit disappointed. I think I’m being kinda nice because in all reality, I thought it sucked!

If you’re after a movie with an exciting plot, great characters and maybe some beautiful scenery then this isn’t the movie for you.

I didn’t actually mind the acting, think they did the best they could with some very badly written characters, they tried to give them personalities and life but the story is a complete shambles IMO.

The choices made by our protag’s is laughable and I seemed to groan nearly every other minute because of this.  The cliché of the mobile phones, nearly everybody carries a mobile phone nowadays but our three seemed to forget theirs on this cold night. How predictable. Also to park so far away from the atm in freezing weather made me chuckle, I mean the parking lot was empty!

It’s not even this that is the worst part for me, it’s our hooded killer. We learn absolutely nothing about why he’s doing this or who he is? Okay, that’s acceptable maybe but I didn’t understand the way he tried to kill our protags. Instead of just ploughing a car into the ATM and kill them, he goes through extreme measures of…well to be honest, I’m not sure what he was trying to do. Drown them I think, I mean he keeps bashing away at the back of the atm in freezing temperatures when really all he needs to do is break a bit of glass and kill them already. Maybe I missed what he was doing through all the sighing and groaning I was doing. It’s possible.

That’s enough now, I couldn’t honestly rant all night about this movie, don’t want to bore people. Please if anybody watches this, explain to me what the hooded killer was trying to do? If it is to avoid the surveillance cameras like the ending suggested, he was wearing a hood so nobody can see his face?

Just a horrible movie.

I caught a few glimpses of this...
Another tired take on the contained thriller scenario.

Though the improbability of this one ranks pretty high.
But it doesn't matter to the bean counters that it was junk.

Because it was cheap to film and loaded with Canadian tax credits.
So the production was paid off before an inch of film was likely shot.

At that stage, it doesn't matter if the film's decent.
These contained thrillers are designed for equity, not quality.

And yeah, the hooded killer was a big doofus.
His machinations twisted into absurdity just to extend the film's running time.

From IMDB:

Budget
$3,000,000 (estimated)

Opening Weekend
$2,034 (USA) (8 April 2012) (2 Screens)

Gross
$2,034 (USA) (8 April 2012)

Weekend Gross
$2,034 (USA) (8 April 2012) (2 Screens)

I remember seeing this on Netflix. Out of curiosity sake. This was a horrible movie. It clearly shows throughout the film that the writer tried desperately to make that 90 min mark anyway possible.

Started watching some of it round my friend's house, and we had to turn it off due to high levels of unenjoyment all around.

I still can't believe it cost $3million to make.

I could'a made it on a hell of a lot less ;-)
