Hello All,

I have been on SS for about a month now and have 2 shorts posted and another should be up any day now.

I am currently writing 3 features and only working on one at a time as it can get messy going back and forth. I hope to have one of them completed in the next month or so, time permitting.

A bit about me !!!! I worked for about 15 years while I was a student and thereafter, as an usher in the cinema and have seen a lot of both great and bad movies so I have been a screenwriter for many years though only in my head and not on paper. Hee Hee if that makes sense.

I am a Civil Engineer living in Australia and my passion is movies so i thought it is not to late to make a start and put pen to paper, or finger to keyboard, I think the new expression is !!!!

I have had great correspondance with others on SS over the last month and look forward to building a friendship with you all.

Looking forward to making it Big. (I can only dream).

Regards Alex

Hey Alex,

Welcome to SS. It's great to see somebody else from W.A on the boards.

You’re off to a good start and it's good to see you getting down to rewrites so quickly.

Did you enjoy the wild weather we had recently?

Take it easy.

Hello Alex, welcome to SS

It's a good place, as you know, to learn and generally get beaten up :) :)

Cheers

Thanks Irish Eyes.

I assume you have first knowledge of this though It's a long trip for coop to come from Perth Aust to NY to steal your shorts.

Maybe I will mail him my shorts though not sure if he is the same size.

Regards Alex

PS You should write a short about it, might make good reading !!!!! Hee Hee

You have no idea Alex.

He uses the old "wife and 2 kids"" as a cover story... :)

Or maybe that is me??

Anyways welcome aboard. If you wanna read, point me in the right direction... If you wanna do a swap... Even better :)
It's all good

That reminds me... Why did you send me your Superman shorts in the post the other day, Mark? I have no idea how you got my address or how they even got through quarantine. ;D ;D

Hey Alex,

Welcome to the SS forums.
It's all about the quid pro quo here...

But make sure you read active contributing members.
Many folks post here, but only a percentage participate in the forums.

If you review active members' work, you're more likely to get a read back.
Build up some "street cred" around here and watch the reviews come in on your stuff.

Aussies spice things up around here, so welcome aboard.
I really should get over there, my birthday being on National Day and all. ;D

Regards,
E.D.

Thanks E.D.

I have put my comments on a few short scripts and hope to do more once I am more confident.

ATM I am only looking at scripts 10 pages and under as I am time poor and struggle to keep up with only 24 hours in the day.
I would like to pass a motion that we make the day 24 hours long. Hee Hee.

Once i get more into it, I want to review some features though I assume the best way is to print them out and take notes on the pages as you go.

Regards Alex
