Okay guys, so I recently watched Prometheus and was thoroughly disappointed, so much so that I wrote a spoof version.  My question is, should I post it, do I put a spoilers warning on it as anyone who hasn't seen the film and reads it will get the gist of the (so called) story?  ??)

Hey Affly,

My thought on this is whether you care in the result. If you don't, do what you like.

Spoofs don't ususally go down well even when not about a current film.

To stop those reading, who may see the film, a spoiler would be recommended.

I for one would read it.

I know spoofs don't do well and may not even submit it but I felt so strongly about the film I was compelled to write it.  In fact is was first thing I sat down and wrote from start to finish in one go lol.

Scary movie was a spoof. :) And I think it did well.

You will never know if you don't post or share it with someone you trust. I say post it. The worst thing that can happen is you'll receive negative reviews. Like anyone on here hasn't gotten negative reviews. lol.

There shouldn't be any question about the spoilers thing; I'd be pissed if I hadn't already seen the movie.

As for the debate in whether you should post it, I say go for it.  I'll read it.  Just don't expect everyone to be super supportive of it.

I think I'll get plenty for it lol.  Submitted now so there's no turning back.  Submitted two today, so I could get right royally bashed in the next few days?

What's wrong with spoofs? I personally love a good spoof and will be sure to check this one out, Alffy.

Hopefully you've chosen to put a spoiler alert at the beginning as its the right thing to do.

I've added a spoiler to the logline but maybe I should have added one to the title page?

I'm sure that all the people on site who wanted to see Prometheus have done, alffy.

And if they haven't, I guess it means they aren't gonna, based on the generally mixed reviews it got.

I read the review by Sniper after he saw it - I wasn't going to see it anyway. I don't watch any movies anymore. Last one I saw at the cinema was the dark knight in 2008. And that was rubbish.

I'll check out your spoof,alffy.

Cheers Stevie.  I've had a few say they'll read it now, so no pressure then! lol  I will say it runs to around 30 pages but reads pretty quickly though.  Seriously though, I'm nervous now....but I guess if it's terrible then I've done no worse than Prometheus.
