Jeremy Renner is cool. It's a nice change from the pretty boy actors we usually find in these films. He brings a grit that there is no way Damon can.

Beyond that, not much good to say about this. Provides some entertainment value for your dollar. The plot is basically empty, no matter how much they try to fill it with complicated jargon.

I saw this the other day and thought it was okay.  It seem to drift along at times, filling in story and back story to Damon's films but the action was good when it came.  It was nice that they tried to tie in the previous films and I think there'll be more to this series.  Definitely worth a watch.

I enjoyed this one and Renner was a good choice who fits the role. I can see this becoming another healthy franchise and like the trailer said, Bourne was only the tip of the iceberg.

I found the plot quite well-conceived, this was a difficult one and remember that all this supposed to be taking place the same time as Bourne Ultimatum which means they had to keep referring back to Bourne. His actions basically set all this up.

The action scenes like previous Bourne films were good, nice hand-to-hand combat and the bike chase was pretty intense at the end. Good stuff.

The Bourne Legacy definitely shifts gears from the impeccable Ultimatum. Quite risky. Set the tone nicely for a second trilogy. though.

I was universally underwhelmed by just about everything in this film.
Plodding along to explain how it ties into the Damon trilogy. Meh.

Everything felt... stunted. Characters arcs and plot.
Like the Bourne series for Dummies.
Even the little shreds of fun Damon brought to the franchise is snuffed out.

Even the end villain is just another lab rat with his conscience removed.
The film feels so... Impersonal. Couldn't connect to any of it.
Renner is fine, but I found him much more engaging in Ghost Protocol.

I don't even know where to begin...

OK, how about this?  I couldn't get through it last night, started it up about where I dozed off again this morning, and after 15 minutes, said "fuck it".

I was constantly clueless as to what was going on, why whatever was going on was going on, and who was who?  Absolutely clueless.

It's a gorgeous movie for sure.  There's big action set pieces. Everyone seems to really be trying here, but for me, the constant change in location, as well as the constant changing between this person and that person left me asking out loud, "What the fuck is going on?"

I have to assume everything made sense in the end, but I never made it there, which is very rare for me.

I was surprised this was a $125 Million production.  Not that it didn't look like it, cuz it did, but I just didn't realize how much clam they threw this thing's way.

Way too convoluted for this kid.

Because the filmmakers added something  - Byer (Norton) activates a soldier-spy named LARX-03 from another advanced steroider program to eliminate Cross, the last soldier-spy from the previous advanced steroider program. So, in other words, for all the covering up over the super soldier spy steroid programs, there's one more around!
Wait, Darren, you say. That doesn't make a lick of sense. Why do you say it does?

Well, it makes a whole lot of sense when your last twenty five minutes is nothing but a long chase reel with an abrupt ending. It's one big mosh pit, filled with wall to wall mayhem and madness. We are introd late to this LARX or Ex-Lax or whatever codename he is and his purpose is simply to chase Cross for almost (what seems like)  half an hour by air, land and sea without stopping! And when they do stop, they get on the boat. Credits and 'Extreme Ways' by Moby play.

In short, you missed nothing but one big circle jerk.
