There will be several of these polls throughout the game.  Anyone can vote - even if they aren't playing.  It is hoped they will at least read the script.

So, based on the script in the game thread

http://www.simplyscripts.net/cgi-bin/Blah/Blah.pl?m-1346472763/

Which character do you think is the Killer?

If the majority gets it right the Killer will change and a special order will be sent for that character's execution.  If the majority get it wrong, then nothing will change.

The computer is there as kind of a none of the above (so I can vote).

Well, I didn't see that coming. Too obvious, actually. Google up Adam Worth and see what you get.

i dont understand how ALAN can be the killer when a physical BEING is obviously doing the killing...

come on now... no jumping the shark like the Island Killer game

The computer is on the list as a "none of the above" option.   It doesn't count in any majority decision and is basically like not voting.

so even if ************* is THE killer- not sure a 2 vote majority would call for a switcheroo

A majority is a majority...  Oh and I **** out the name you put in your post in case someone hasn't voted.

That's a crock.  There's plenty of ways a computer can kill.  Especially with Alan's high level of intelligence.   He could allow foreign contagions into the base causing people to go slowly insane.  And that's just one example.  At least that was my theory.

But a computer cannot use a mesh face or have a physical confrontation as indicated more than once in the script so far. Even if you say the computer can control someone's mind, that is still a person.

As as a sort of reminder, the rules of the game are that the killer is a character created by one of the players. The computer is not a character but one of the objects. Therefore, the computer as a killer would break the rules of the game.

Duly noted.  Thanks for the clarification.  You just busted my bubble.

now, as for ALAN being an accomplice or an influencing force in the killings......that is another matter entirely...

But he isn't and will never be THE Killer because he isn't a player character.    Therefore, he will remain in future polls as "none of the above" (so I can vote).
