Glad I found these boards. I've been part of other writers forums before and enjoyed them, found I learned quite a bit from them.  This place looks pretty active--and ironically I've been reading TV/movie scripts accessed via the main boards of SS for a few years without ever realizing there was this forum.

As for me, writing is both obsessive and fun--as well as maddening. I've jumped between writing plays, novels, TV and movie scripts since the 90s. I'm up to about my 10th screenplay. Recently I read (or tried to read) the first 3 screenplays I ever wrote years ago... Lord, were they bad. Epic, bad. Breaking new ground of badness.

Right now I have a comedy and two horrors making the contest circuit. Look forward to learning new things here at SS. I've lurked for a while and there seem to be some very creative, very knowledgeable, and very helpful peeps here. Also look forward to reading other members' scripts and adding my 2 cents when I can.

Far from it. I found that (usually) the crits that sting come from know-it-alls, which I'm not one. I like to receive constructive criticism, so I try to offer the same if I have anything to add. But please don't think I consider myself an expert. I know I'm not. If I were, I wouldn't need to seek wisdow from you all.

Thanks. Looking forward to jumping in some of the threads before I read other peoples' material. I'm not a prolific poster though. I might have a dozen one day, then none for a week. Hope that's not seen as bad form.

And BTW, I'm not a fly-by-nighter, looking to make a few posts then submitting a script and ditching the site after I receive crits. I probably won't submit anything till later in the summer anyway. Maybe sooner if I get stuck on something I'm working on and need advice, inspiration, or a good b1tch-slap.

Just posted my first crit. I like the personalities of some of the other critters. Some are menacingly cute. Like mantis in thigh-highs and pumps.  My kind of peeps.
