Just wondering if anyone has seen this over there in the States? It's the longest running sitcom on channel 4, and personally it's my favourite thing on TV. I was curious to see what the reception from other areas would be for it.

Basically it chronicles the life and times of two friends who share a flat, Mark and Jeremy. Mark is cynical, neurotic and socially inept - while Jeremy is a free living, wannabe musician. The whole show is unique in that it is completely filmed from the characters POVs. Giving it an almost claustrophobic feel, you also get to hear the two lead characters' thoughts in VO mode.

The writing is particularly amazing in this, as it is so well written that it could almost be taken how it is and turned into a radio comedy.

There's nothing remotely slapstick about the humour (most of the time) but rather it parodies real social situations and events that any one of us could get involved in. Failed weddings, unexpected pregnancies and magic mushroom parties a-plenty.

That show is really wity I love it :-)

I never really liked this.  And I think it was because it was constantly shot from the perspectives of both main actors.  I mean, it's an awesome idea, but for me I just never grew to like it.

It's funny, sure, but it's something I'd flick right on past if I saw it on TV.  One thing I love though is the constant use of V.O. to express the character's thoughts, that gets the real laughs.

Either you like it or you don't, and even though I do find it funny, it doesn't nail it for me.

I think both main actors though are great actors, though.
