Interested to hear what people think of this one. Anyone seen it? Well-shot, reasonably well-acted little B action flick. Catching a lot of flack for being sexist and racist, possibly because it features three loveable Southern boys from a deceased KKK father, gunning down, respectively, a gang of Mexican immigrants (followed by a monologue to a dying man about learning English and coming to Amurica on a floating door), a gang of "empowered" women, a gang of militant blacks ("Welcome to the South!" our protagonists yell as they open fire), and, in the film's climax, a gang of Native Americans (who, of course, are adorned in "tribal" body paint and have a penchant for scalping). Our lead protagonist wears a Confederate flag shirt throughout the film.

If Boondock Saints was a fantasy outlet for some particularly deep-seated white male rage, Baytown Outlaws easily outdoes it. It's nowhere near as original or as good a film, either. It's a heck more grindhouse and a darn sight sillier, too. I can't figure out if I'm bothered by it, or if I kind of respect writer/director Barry Battles' audacity in expressing what appears to be a deeply idiotic perspective. In any case, it's a fine effort for the budget, and the somewhat surprising appearance of Billy Bob Thornton lends the film some much-needed star power.

Very interested in other opinions.
