Very surprised not to see a thread for this one.

I remember when it came out in late 2010 and wanted to see it but never did.  It somehow slipped my mind when the DVD came out and I forgot about it until I saw trailers for Red 2 a couple months back.  My girlfriend wanted to go see it but I said, let's see the first one and then wait for the DVD on the sequel.

Well, we watched it last weekend and boy oh boy was I ever impressed.  Seriously, this is a great, fun movie that brings so much to the table - big action, great star power, humor that is actually funny, and and an interesting, enjoyable ride from start to finish.  Attention to detail is also spectacular.

Everyone is on their A game here, including writers the Hoeber brothers, and Director Robert Schwentke.  Great attention to detail in the action scenes, fight choreography, dialogue, scenery...you name it, it's all A+ shit.

Made for $58 Million, this baby grossed $199 Million WW, which is a pretty nice return.

It's refreshing to see a movie like this because we don't get many that work on so many different levels and for such a broad spectrum of movie goers and movie lovers.

Grade A

So - Jeff's got himself a lady - what's she like huh? Apart from long-suffering :) - post a pic up - you know you want to

She's like...uh...like cool peeps.

No pics.  That's kind of silly to ask, isn't it?

I remember seeing this when it came out, but for the life of me, I can hardly even remember the plot.

I thought it was all a bit in tongue in cheek at the time. Yes, it's fun, but for me, there wasn't much more to it than that. At least it wasn't as cringe worthy as the Man with the Iron Fists, which I saw last weekend . . .
