I'm down for anything that features Choi Min-sik! I sure hope that it is better than Luc Besson's last directorial effort 8)

Hasn't this "we only use 10% of a brain" stuff been debunked years ago?

There are a few people I know who might use less.

Kidding aside, the whole '10% of our brains' thing will be around forever. A lot like that myth about how we swallow a certain number of spiders per year while we sleep. That's been debunked, but people still believe it.

I probably won't see this movie, but it has nothing to do with the film itself. I'm just not a fan of ScarJo.

I was actually looking very forward to seeing this, as I missed it on its theatrical run, and the positive reviews and big box office haul all pointed to a solid action flick.

Wow...was I ever wrong!  And oh boy...all the peeps who praise this pile of steaming shite must be high as a fucking kite.

This is definitely "classic" Luc Bessen, but it's also an "older" Luc Bessen, who doesn't seem to have the magic he once did.  Basically, this is all complete horse shit, that makes absolutely ZERO sense and must be aimed at teen boys and girls who think this type of action is "cool".

It ain't cool, though, as it's all been done before many times and much better.  IMO, there is nothing here worth watching, save maybe the first 15 minutes minus the multitude of cutaway weird shots of various weird shit.

Morgan Freeman's role is a complete joke.  He's here for name recognition in a completely throwaway cliche cardboard cutout, but at least he has some personality, but it's Morgan Freeman's personality, not the character.

Scarlet Johansson looks good as usual and does the best she can with a ludicrous role.  SHe also kicks some ass and shoots guns like an expert, but it's all so hollow and foolish, really.

Finally, we have Choi Min-sik, playing the big baddie.  He's a badass and sure looks the part, but again, we're talking all cliche here with ZERO backstory or personality, so it ends up being a performance that goes nowhere.

If I were to go into detail of all the ludicrous, absurd goings ons here, it would take me longer than the hour and 30 minute run time of this shitty movie, but let me say, almost nothing makes any sense here and the longer the movie plays, and the "smarter" Lucy gets, the more ridiculous and "dumb" the plot and action gets, culminating in a finale you'd have to see to believe, but please, don't make the mistake I did, and trust me - this movie absolutely SUCKS the high hard one in every way imaginable.

Grade - F - Possibly one the worst big budget movies I've ever seen.

I thought it was an ok popcorn movie.

Really silly story line, though.

And an awkward mix between tacked on action and the faux philosophy..
