Do any of you use them? Why do you use them? but my main question is: If you have a pen name how can you say you are that said person?

Would this ever happen? You copyright a script under a pen name and then someone wants to buy it. but you are who ever the hell you are not the... pen name. Is there a way to prove that you actually wrote that script or is that even necessary?

I have used a pen name and will probably move towards using them more and more.

I don't know the answer to how you prove who you are. I never thought of that. I always register, now copyright, scripts in my real name. No one has ever asked me to prove who I am. Great question though.

I use them for my x-rated stuff. If your work is registered/copyrighted in your real name that's all you need. Famous authors do it all the time.

I write under A. B. Steel.

If anything, have one copy under your own name and one under the pen name. I don't think anyone has ever had to go to court to defend his own name.

Every now and then I write under Akiva Goldsman.
