Hello DS

I'm not new to the boards.

Sixteen? Shouldn't you be out frolicking in fields with friends and playing guitars with flowers in your hair whilst trying to get into nightclubs?

Far be from me to tell you what you should be doing. And neither should anybody else. Within reason.

Glad to hear you thought you did okay. Look forward to reading it, when you're ready. As I said to another new person - have fun, but bear in mind you may need a thick skin whilst you wander these boards.

The rules for this site are somewhere. They're worth a read. And stay off the sauce when on. The site, I mean.

When I was sixteen I was still sucking my thumb.

No, that's not a euphemism. Hang on, I still do suck it.

Think it's time I moved on.

Welcome to the boards! My biggest recommendation is to read as many screenplays as you can, the more you read the better and write as much as you can, everything you write even if its terrible is one step to making you a better writer.

And as Ren said have a thick skin on this forum, you will get alot of tough criticism, But take as much as you can from it and you will keep improving.

I look forward to reading your work!

Sounds like you're a natural. I'm sure you won't have any problems. Good luck.

Welcome DS. Wish I'd started at 16... screenwriting, that is.

I look forward to reading that 'short' of yours if it goes up/is up? :)

Hey, DS.

Welcome.

I know another 16 year old (he might be 17 or even 18 now) and his first name also starts with a D. Anyway, that one did really well and was placed several times (I remember distinctly he came second one time) in various shorts contests. So, good luck reading, commenting, submitting... :)

LOL I remember when I was 16 and writing scripts.  Hell I started at the age of 10, mainly with horror fan fics.

It wasn't until I was 14 when I started working on original material.

I was 16 when I came up with the idea for a story that I still work on to this day.

I'm 24 now, with my 25th b-day right around the corner.

Welcome to the board, DS - have a great time and learn what you can!

Hello and welcome DS.

My best advice is to read more than you write(I'm preaching to myself too), learn what you can here, but take everything with a grain of salt.

You may want to invest in some thick armor, a helmet, and a bazooka perhaps.

I am fairly new...well going on three years for me. Don't let anyone tell you that you can't do it. In three years, I've had four shorts produced, a feature optioned and got an agent. :)

Hey K,

He also won a challenge at MP though the path has now led him elsewhere.

Good luck DS and hope to read your work.
