Hey,

My name is Oisin Mac Coille , I’m an award nominated film maker based in Galway Ireland. I’m looking for my next project to while away the winter months planning with a view to shoot next spring. The genre I’m principally looking for is Psychological horror (no over the top gore or zombies, sorry but not for me ) / Multi strand Thriller – not too much to ask I know :) but any genre considered

Can u give us a bit more like what type of budget are u working with? What places can u get? How many actors?

I'm open to all submissions and the details can be worked out from there... For me the first and most important thing for me in a script is if the story is good enough after that the rest can be worked out ....

Hope u find what u are looking for then. Wish I could offer something of mine since your showreel looks good. ( just probably my own stupid insecurity lol). Don't think I was busting your balls when I awake asking those questions,  just trying to get more info.

When you say "psychological horror" do you mean "ghosts" or something?  I am working on a script at the moment, I already have the first draft on the boards, but it's about this detective who is haunted by the ghost of his nephew and he's trying to solve a little girl's murder in a sleepy village.

The first draft is called "Liminality" but it's... well, it's a first draft, so it's not that great.  I am working on the upgrade, but will need a week, maybe two to finish the final draft.

What I mean by horror is more atmosphere suspense .... Jumps rather than slasher type horror .....

Ah.  Well, mine doesn't incorporate many "jump-scare" moments.

It's more of a "play on the mind" type deal, as in paranormal stuff is going on and it's psychological.  You don't know what's real/fake, etc.

Am I typing this or is something else saying it, so to speak.

I'm also working on something. My first feature actually. It's a horror but a little different. I'm only getting started with it now but if you like I'll give you a look when it's done?

I must mention I've only started writing over the last few months. Don't know if that's something that'll put you off..

Not at all I admire all that put pen to paper .. I came to the conclusion a long time ago that writing was not my forte and stayed with the easy job of directing ... I say easier because the words are all there for you all you have to do is not screw it up.... I'd love to have a look at it when your done man cheers for the reply ... Indeed cheers to everyone who has posted here and sent me on work since I posted some serious talented guys here with some strong fresh ideas .....

I do have a 25 page short script that is along the lines you could be looking for, but it isn't a feature length script. It's one general location, mostly interior. Not a lot of blood, could probably get away with showing none at all.

As far as features go, I do have some noir crime thrillers, but only one, Ashes Dust, could work on a micro- budget in my view. That script isn't here on SS, but inactive at the moment on Talentville. (an older draft still exists at Triggerstreet)

Ashes Dust
When Shannon runs off with Dave, she gets more than she bargains for : stolen money and a drug deal gone bad. It is the least of her concerns, as the husband she leaves for dead is still alive with a slight case of amnesia. 106 pages
