SimplyScripts Screenwriting Discussion Board  /  Things you are looking for  /  Looking for Short Script
Posted by: FedericoTorres, April 6th, 2015, 3:43pm
Hello,

I'm a filmmaker from Puerto Rico looking to shoot a short film this summer. I am basically looking for a short script that it a bit out of the ordinary since I will be having a budget and want to do something that I wouldn't be able to do normally with a couple of buddies. Will pay for the script.

I liked the demo reel. You have an interesting visual style.

For drama I have a short that shouldn't be too expensive to produce.

Surrender

An addict struggles to maintain his normal routine but feels lost, isolated and alone without alcohol. The script depicts his final descent down into a rock bottomless hole where he cannot work out what is real and what are hallucinations.  9 pages.

If that doesn't float your boat click on the link in my sig for more.

Thanks mate. I did Google but couldn't find it.

I like your visual style too. I was surprised to see you not listed as cinematographer. Who does your cinematography?

It is actually -  in the 'Contacting Member' info on SS.  8) Sweepers are often about so I think it's always the more sensible option.

My links are below btw...

Thank you guys for giving me the pleasure of reading your scripts! I read most of them and I'm going to try and give my thoughts on the ones that I see on the discussion board. Hopefully will post one of mine also to see where I'm at!

I've a new one coming soon. I probably could have phrased that better. But I didn't. To do so would have been out of character.

And I like a laugh.

Thank you all for your interest! Managed to read a couple of great shorts! Unfortunately I had to choose only one but I'm glad that there's a place here that one can get to see some great screenwriting! I'll comment on the ones I managed to read though!

Thanks Again to all of you and to Simplyscripts.net!!!

Can you let us know who the lucky person or their script was?  I didn't apply, so, I have no horse in the race, but, I'd love to know which ones won or were in final consideration.

Giving a little update.... Production has been quite slow since the financing has taking alot longer than I hoped.... goverment funding and all...

Did manage to secure the main location and probably the lead actress... Don't want to start prep until I have the contract signed and the money in my hand.

Writing because I recieved an email asking for the status of the script! Matias has been very patient and I thank him for that...

I would hope to film before summer starts! probably by May!

If you guys are bored and got nothing to do.... feel free to watch our latest project in the following link! It's a music video for a local band!
