Anybody been watching this or planning to?

I'm not huge into the superhero TV shows that have popped up of late but after reading some positive things online about this one, I gave it a go.

I watched the first episode and I liked it. It's different to the other Marvel stuff that's out there. It's got a dark and gritty vibe about it. The way I like my movies and TV shows. At the same time, I feel it's going to be a fun watch.

Also from what I've seen the fight scenes are very impressively choreographed. Looks very good.

Anyway, I'll keep watching and when I'm done I'll post my thoughts.

Overall, I enjoyed it. But there was one episode which is heads and shoulders above the rest. "Shadows in the Glass" where it focuses on the back story of crime lord Wilson Fisk. Vincent D'Ofornio, by the way, as Fisk in the series is nothing short of outstanding.

Tried to watch the first episode but was put off by the exposition. In my opinion, it is very badly written and acted. Not even my kids could watch it all the way through.

The thing is too... I actually loved Daredevil as a kid. I'd always read a Daredevil comic. Daredevil is a hero we can all get behind because he's blind. He's severely flawed. Which is great. Unlike Superman who only has one weakness and is boring.

It's a shame. I just don't think Daredevil translates well on screen... that with the shitty exposition and OTN dialogue in this put me off completely. I watched ten minutes and lost interest, found something else to do. My kids lost interest not long after.

Like Dustin, I'm a Daredevil fan from childhood, so was intrigued to see this...

Have watched 9 episodes so far and in general I'm liking it, feels gritty and dark compared to a lot of to hero type stuff.

I agree its a little exposition heavy but I'm letting it off that at the mo... I do want a proper costume, but that's probably just me ;-)

I loved it! Finished in three days. Much better TV than most on network TV. Vincent D is a pleasure to watch.

I'm really liking DAREDEVIL so far... 6 episodes in.

That fight in Episode 2 was mind blowing. Like BIRDMAN meets THE RAID, with that 5 minute camera shot during a choreographed fight. Wow, super impressive for TV.

check out my nerdy review of that episode... I'm reviewing them all at my website,  SLIP/THROUGH - the stuff you don't want to slip through the cracks.

Absolutely loved it.  Characterizations, plotting, action scenes, cinematography, direction -- all top notch.  Everyone involved with this show brought their A-game and it shows.  I'd be hard-pressed to pick a favorite episode but, gun to my head, I'd go with episode 2 -- primarily for that utterly bad-ass (and already classic) hallway fight scene.

Easily the best TV superhero series I've ever seen.  It makes stuff like The Flash and Arrow look categorically fatuous in comparison.
