IQ83 by John Bodin - Comedy, Thriller - An adaptation of Arthur Herzog's 1979 ‘comedy/thriller’ novel IQ 83. A gene-splicing scientist and his team unwittingly unleash a bio-epidemic of "stupid sickness". Infected himself, the scientist's own intelligence begins to drop as he realizes the general population is quickly 'dumbing-down' around him. The race is on for him to find an antidote before he, his family  and everyone else becomes too stupid to care. Herzog's scenario is not only a real, scary possibility; it calls into question the fragility of today’s ‘civil society’ whose collective intelligence is believed by many to in a state of a devolution. 125 pages - pdf, format 8)

What you have here is really a short synopsis.

You want to write a logline - one, at the most, two sentences.

Also, there's a word missing in the last sentence - 'be in a state of devolution'.
