Hi. I'm currently looking for feasible screenwriting education establishments ranging from film schools to universities. Personally, I'm a "US American-but-foreigner", who lives in Germany.

Google has tossed several names up, but I have the feeling these are just "the big ones".

Personally, I'm somewhat seeking certificate/associates degree'esque level and such that for instance have (and hopefully, I'm not too demanding)
- roleplaying stuff like pitching, business talks with agents or producers + query letters
- the craft itself (obviously)
- not online
- Preferably a three month to one-year sort of course

More so, would be great to hear of experiences if anybody had gone to any university or establishment. I've taking various courses online, but want to get for once "real thing" somewhere.

So far, I've heard of UCLA/USC and Emerson College in Boston.
In Canada, there is VFS which seems to be like a big thing. I received their course syllabus and it made me slobber. However, it is a massive some of $20k tuition only. Now that's probably peanuts vs USAmerican universities, but I've heard that you only need the basics of screenwriting and not essentially such like a 4 Year MFA (though VFS is also a one year run).

So, yeah, if you have any suggestions, would be nice to hear about them :). I've tried search but it didn't really show me much at all.

Last year I took 2 courses with UCLA Extension online. The experience was great, and I think all of the instructors are industry pros. I believe the cost was only approx. $650 per class. Good luck.
