SimplyScripts Screenwriting Discussion Board  /  Questions or Comments  /  Looking for a script to make into a feature

Hello. I'm an independent filmmaker living in Michigan. A starving artist but one who very much wants to make films. I've primarily made shorts but have been thinking now's the time to produce something feature-length.

Here's one of the shorts I've produced - Raised Alone - which has screened internationally at several film festivals:

and Warning Signs, a webseries "pilot": http://vimeo.com/53659320

I'm looking for a copyrighted screenplay that can be done ultra low budget with a very small cast of characters. I want to make a film that's 90 minutes in length. I'd like to do a romantic drama. I'm looking for something along the lines of Before Sunrise or Once.

I'm also looking to co-produce the project with the writer. So I don't want to just take the script and make it but I want to make the film with the involvement of the writer. Want to do something that looks professional in terms of cinematograpy, sound, actors, etc..

Hey Jerry -

You *might* want to give my Vegging Out an option.... It's a serious rom-com with dramedy touches.  Very low cast of characters, set in a college campus. "Dogglebe"'s Brass Ring is also a romantic indie option - quirky ala Allie McBeal, but with smarts and soul.  Here are the loglines.  Hit me up at janetgoodman "AT" yahoo for any interest in the scripts!  FYI - we're both produced, optioned and award winning writers.  Good things, going there.

Vegging Out - (Dramedy) A college girl and her friends take a vow to go veggie - and quickly discover that the lifestyle is wilder--and more complicated--than it seemed at first glance.

Brass Ring (quirky drama) - Ten years after college, four friends debate the wisdom of continuing to pursue their dreams, in the face of failure and stagnation.

Should post an email for people to submit to. That way people that aren't members can contact you with their scripts.

Makes it easier for everyone.
