I'd Like to Thank the Academy

Not quite an Oscar nomination (though you never know, it's still early) but I was recently informed of the following:

"We here in the Library of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences are interested in acquiring a copy of the screenplay THE SUICIDE THEORY for the permanent Core Collection. Materials in our Core Collection are made available for study only in our reading room; scripts never circulate from the building and all copying is strictly forbidden. We are a research library freely open to all -- students, filmmakers and writers as well as those with general interests make up our user profile."

Pretty awesome to even be contacted by the Academy (like everyone, I've been practicing my Oscar speech since I was like 15) let alone receive such an honor.

I can't thank SS enough for letting me post the script here back in 2008!

"The Suicide Theory" is available right now on Netflix, DVD and VOD on most cable outlets... check it out now if you haven't already!

Thanks, Gabe! Another script I had posted on here, "Morphine" is inching (and I mean inching) closer to production... testing the Bollywood waters ,too... they have a booming film industry out there and money to spend... but I'm working on something new that I think will be something I can truly be proud of... might post an early draft here on SS because I love this site and you guys are super-truthful with your opinions and I fucking love that... a lot of things in the works... thanks for checking out the movie!

Coming out of SS retirement to say a hearty congratulations. It's always nice to see how much this site can help out people, I had no idea Suicide Theory was initially posted here, I'll have to check it out now.

Thanks, Chris! Hope you enjoy the movie! And yes, this site has helped a lot of talented writers at least show up on the film industry's radar... I'm sure we'll see a plethora of films written by SS regulars popping up in theaters and other platforms very soon!
