Another great interview! Always enjoy reading about people with actual experience in the industry.  :)

Thanks Pia, I think there's plenty of writers, with varying degrees of experience, that would be great to interview... I'll keep trying to line them up ;-)

Thanks, Anthony:

An interesting read. I am all for more competitors in the software business - should lead to lower prices and better products.

And all should bear in mind: It's ANTHONY'S wonderful and hard work that made that interview (and all the interviews we feature on STS) possible!!  :)

Thank you AC: you're awesome.  :)

Aw shucks, thanks Janet... I'm blushing again!!!

Dave - agree and Fade In is already pretty good value at the standard price of $50! With the generous discount I'm gonna buy it and use instead of FD for a month or two, see how it handles.

Have the 2015 Page Award winner and this years Nashiville Winner lined up for future interviews too.

Just when I caved and finally started using Final Draft...

:(

Also, am I really missing out not listening to Craig Mazin and John August? I tend to find what professional screenwriters have to say discouraging to the point where I wonder if it's even good for me to listen to them.

In any case, good interview, Anthony.

I think Scriptnotes is a great podcast, don;t find it discouraging in the slightest... Give it a whirl!

And thanks James.

It's a fine product. You won't regret the purchase, IMO.

I actually picked it up last year and already do not regret the purchase. It only feels like I just caved because I've been writing for over ten years (and 2015 went by fast). Definitely makes writing easier. It's also got a wonderful system for taking notes, which is a dream for a serial note-taker like myself. I used to just stick them in between lines in bold, which made the pages look like all kinds of a mess.

Yep - I always write in split screen. The note cards on the left side and the script on the right. The color codes for the script boxes have been a great tool for me not getting frozen. I use red-yellow- green,

Red - I think it sucks or has a plot point problem - move on and come back later

Yellow - pretty good - needs some clean up - come  back later

Green - love it as is.

Rather than getting stuck for days in any one scene - I just hit the appropriate color and keep moving.

Just a suggestion for Don, Janet, Anthony or whomever:

How about compiling all the interviews in a subcategory in the STS section? That would allow users to find all the interviews in one place.

Good idea Breanne... I'll leave it to Don/Janet...

I do collect all my stuff, articles and interviews on my site so I don't lose em!

Thanks Anthony. Just thought it would make newer members aware of them and help current members make sure they don't miss any.
