Easy and quick read. Some typos throughout. Good dialogue. Could get better. The resolution happened too fast. The theatre should've been shut down at the end of the first act with the second and third act focused on the script and contest.  I know it's a dialogue driven movie ala Clerks but it felt like it was leading to nothing, I thought it was going to take place in one day. The mystery man shut down the theatre, someone has to mention that. If this takes place in present time then a screenwriting competition can't work. No one cares about spec scripts anymore. You can set it in the 90's during Tarantinomania and it would more sense. If not, they should shoot it themselves and maybe take a road trip to Sundance or something. Good start. I'd love to read another draft.
