Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all.

I haven't been around for awhile but have been lurking here and there. I was sitting, half drunk on egg nog whiskey and believe it or not had an idea (I agree these are usually the ideas that end up requiring bail money). Though, it is Christmas, after all!

I started a script with a neat premise though I haven't gotten the motivation to push through. In fact, I seem to be doing everything to avoid sitting down to write. So... I thought of an idea to get the wheels spinning and as sort of an experiment to see collectively what could happen if I got input from several writers on where to take the script, scene by scene. I'm also a little tipsy, so take it as you will...

Here's the idea...

I have about 30 pages of a sci-fi script... I'll take any readers. Each reader (who wishes to participate) will read what I have and give a short description of the next scene. Where it begins, leads and ends. After 2 days of input about the next scene, members (who are interested) will vote on which recommendation we will follow. Once we get enough votes, I'll have a week to write the scene with the specifications of the winner's recommendation. There is no commitment here. If you give a recommendation on one scene and that's it, it's all good. You are not expected to do anything else.

Even if the voted scene is absurd, I promise to follow the specifications of the winner. I will write whatever the winning idea is.

We repeat this method until the script is finished.

Maybe Don will post a link to the first 30 pages? A voting thingy? Otherwise, I can email a copy to those interested.

I think it would be interesting to see what a consensus comes up with. I also see it as a good way to get my ass writing.

That's it. That's my drunk idea. Anyone? Bueller?
