Lol, funny thing is, the best quality and least expensive maple syrup I’ve come to know is sold at the Duty Free shops at the airport… if you can believe that shit. Seriously, I have to be flying out of my own country to actually take advantage of these deals. It’s like “Bon voyage, so sorry you’re leaving. Don’t forget your exorbitantly priced, tax free, unnecessarily large, wicked heavy, glass bottle of maple syrup in the shape of a maple leaf to drag onto the plane with your carry on, pal… hope dat’ fucker don’t break on you, eh!”

Anthony, thanks for finding these links. I recall sending a script off to one of the others you posted several weeks ago (a reddit link I believe). Anyway, the guy got back to me saying he loved the script, unfortunately, it was out of scope for his budget but, did inquire if I had anything else in the same style for small production costs etc. and… fuck a duck, I didn’t, lol. Still, it was nice to hear from a production company saying they dig the writing. So ya, cheers to all your effort!

Ha, see how nice the Canadians are... they even export their best Maple Syrup!

And no problem, I'm constantly looking for opportunities and it seems right to share with the good folks on SS who have helped me with my writing since I started.

I think using some of these opportunities as a way to make connections is exactly right, it may not be the specific script you send them, it could be one in your portfolio or one you haven't even written yet... but the key is to establish the connection.

I've just been hired to write a sequel to an existing short film on the strength of a different script and making that connection... happy networking!
